Grape Escape

Grape Escape is Topeka's premier wine and food festival with silent and live auctions to benefit the Topeka Performing Arts Center.

Again this year, there will be lots of swirling, sniffing and sipping going on at the 11th Annual Grape Escape 2008, A Toast to the Arts on Friday, August 1st from 6 to 10PM.

Tickets go on-sale May 23rd and can only be purchased at the TPAC Box Office! Space is limited so reserve your spot early.

About the Event

Grape Escape is TPAC’s primary fundraising event. It as well as corporate season sponsorships and the Friends of TPAC program provide the financial support needed to bring great acts to Topeka and provide educational programs to the community. 

Last year was a great success with over 500 people in attendance and over $50,000 raised! 

Guests will have the opportunity to sample over 150 wines from some of the world’s leading vintners and taste gourmet hors d’oeuvres and food samplings from premier restaurants and caterers.  Guests will also have the opportunity to shop and bid for an outstanding array of silent auction items and conclude the evening with a live auction featuring an array of fabulous and unique items.

Live and Silent Auction

Silent Auction
Throughout the event guests will find a number of items to bid on during the Silent Auction. Items range from KU & K-State gear to couture apparel and world-class wines. These items are donated by local businesses and restaurants.  Guests can bid on the silent auction items until midway through the evening. Items must be picked up and paid for the night of the event.

Live Auction
Toward the end of the evening TPAC will hold it's annual Live Auction. This spectacular event includes items such as Season Tickets to TPAC shows, VIP Dinners and trips across North America. Items must be picked up and paid for the night of the event.

Bidding
In order to bid on live or silent auction items guests must obtain a bid number. These will be assigned to you through the TPAC Box Office when you purchase your Grape Escape tickets. A Credit Card number must be submitted in order to obtain a bid number. Although this does not have to be the method of payment, it is still required.

Tickets

Tickets may be purchased through the TPAC Box Office beginning May 23rd. Please note that prices will increase after July 25, 2008.

Basic Admission - $60 per person if purchased by July 25th
Includes all activities, commemorative wine glass, gourmet food and dessert tasting, entertainment, bidding number for auction registration. *$70 per person after July 25, 2008

Premium Admission - $85 per person if purchased by July 25th
Includes basic admission plus five wine tastings in our exclusive Premium Cellar.
*$95 per person after July 25, 2008
